    10m air pistol technique literature.

    Hi everyone

I was wondering if there is any good books or dvd's on the above?.

I'd like to improve my technique generally and am looking for some guidance.

    Many thanks

    Thumbs up successful pistol shooting

I purchased successful pistol shooting by paul and frank leatherdale.
    Found it very good.
Certainly helped with my technique and current average.

As already posted - "Successful pistol shooting" by Frank and Paul Leatherdale, successful and expert father and son pistol shooters. Very informative.

I've been shooting 10m Olympic Pistol for the past year and the book I bought and read is Pistol Shooting the Olympic Disciplines by Heinz Reinkemeier and Gaby Buhlmn.

    isbn 978-3-9814287-2-8

This is not the cheapest book out there but it is very good and has loads of pictures to help explain the text. It is very focused on the various pistol disciplines to ISSF standards.

The book covers all aspects of pistol shooting including fitness, internal and external stance and pistol set up just a few of the many aspects of shooting a 10m olympic pistol.

You can also watch how the top shooters shoot by going onto the ISSF channel on Youtube.

3rd vote for the book and all of the above too, you need to find something that you feel is talking to you. Watching the you tube clips are very good to see the focus etc. Above all else is the internal fire to do better and to increase your work rate (focus on different aspects of training) and train every day, pistol is very easy to explain but very challenging to do even half well. You need to look at the endgame and how to get there.
