    Nearly there.

I have been steadily buying bits of reloading gear ready for the .204.
I have a Lee Press on route along with a powder measurer.
I have a FL sizer die the de primer and neck sizer die along with the seater.
Bought a de burring tool and pocket primer cleaner.
    Lee re loading manual
    Rubs hand primer
    Calibers
    Ultra sonic cleaner.
50 cases of .204 that I bought ready prepared.
70 fired cases from my own rifle
And 30 un fired home loads.
Funnel and some lube also on route.
I have the load data of the loads I have.
I am still learning the best way to start.
So what would be my best route?

I'm unsure how many times the cases have been used.
Do I FL re size them all and start a fresh?
    Buy new cases?

I haven't bought scales yet. Any recommendations?
Do I buy a case trimmer?
Sometimes you can read to much and end up with conflicting opinions.

I have a 21in barrel and looking to follow suit in the H4895 powder. V Max 32g
Unsure on which primers to use.
I hope to be ready to start loading at the Christmas holiday.
Any advice or help would be good.
    Cheers

I would full length size any cases that have been fired in a different rifle.
I would definitely invest in a case trimmer but imho do not buy the Lee Zip model.
You will need a .20 bullet comparator ( I use Hornady one),
    Digital calipers,
Bullet puller (I use the Hornady cam lock), headspace comparator

Can't recommend digital scales as I am still looking for ones myself but I'm using a beam balance at present and have done for years.

If you are full length sizing a case trimmer will be needed sooner rater than later, the lee case length gauges work well for me.

Definitely get a trickler, the hornady one does the job and is under £20, trying to get that last grain of powder right without a trickler can be a pain.

PS are you sure it's a lee measure (thrower) and not a set of scoops that you've bought?
    Thanks for looking

I work in Colwyn Bay so if you need some help I could come over and help you out with a few loadings. Sometimes someone actually being there helps. I don't load for the 204 but most of the process for the 223 would show you how it all comes together. Oh by the way I am no expert but I am happy with my results. Darran.

    Cool Scales

Hi. I'm in a similar position and bought most items from someone giving up the sport. One item included was a Lee Safety Powder Scale. Its brilliant. Very easy to set up and use, and nothing that seems can go wrong. Another item included was a Lee Perfect Powder Measure, the Lee catalogue says its almost as good as a scale and it seems very accurate, once set it seems to dispense the exact same amount every time.

I'd buy an RCBS balance scale (5.0.2) It's just better quality and design than the lee.

I'd also buy a "one calibre one book" for the cartridge, as per the title it has load data from all the different bullet & powder manufacturers for that particular round.

I picked up some some RCBS 505 scales. A Lyman case trimmer.
I think a powder trickler Could come in handy. I don't have a powder thrower but lots of measures.
I deprimed and neck sized 100 cases.
I now need to set up my FL die for the new brass I have bought. My mate will hopefully pop around to double check before I proceed with that stage. If not may take up the offer of the kind gent local to me.
Looking forward to the next stage.
