Heads Up - BSA Stutzen for Auction in Wrexham

Hi all
I have just popped in to our local auction room, (Wingetts), in Wrexham and they have an almost immaculate Bsa .22 Stutzen for sale, the breech and woodwork look great and it has a rose wood capped fore-end. It's a tap loader.
The serial number is GB 000251; however, in the catalogue its miss numbered as 63000231.
It has a guide price of £300-400. The catalogue is on line.
I have no interest in the sale or connection with the auction house, just thought someone may be tempted!��

I remember talking to a guy at Byrne's in Chester,he successfully bid twelve hundred pounds on a venom77.
He forgot about action commission and vat,it came as quite a shock when he went to settle up.
A beautiful gun all the same .

I dont think you would be disappointed. The tap loaders are fewer in number, more ergonomic and mechanically more efficient. I found the RB2 version in .177 to be the worst to load, - as the pellet wants to nose over when you try to put in. the tap loaders are faster and surer to load if you are into night shooting....

Yes agreed x2 and by at least £100, too, and have been around long enough to know that even then, for £300, I would at least expect it to be a realistic definition of 8 out of ten all over, and with no missing components.
