I have always collected anything that took my fancy. The last gun I bought was a Gat air rifle from a local car boot sale.

I don't think I've ever had more than one example of a particular model at a time, but, I've owned more examples of one model than any other, because I always regret selling it.

For some reason, I have a thing about the BSA Mercury. It doesn't necessarily get used, I just need to own one. Perhaps because it was the first full power airgun I ever had.

I have made opportunistic purchases in the past though, mainly at the car boot sale. Didn't particularly want it, but too cheap to pass up type of thing.

My dad couldn't resist an airgun bargain either. He once bought two HW35e's at the boot sale for the princly sum of £18 each or thereabouts. But only because I didn't see them first.

I'm in North Wales regularly. I really must try and attend the same boot sales as you

No. There's none left. All gone.

Sadly, airguns are a bit more of a rarity at the boot sales around here these days. There was some confusion arising from the VCR act, and some bootsales stopped people from selling them or the booters themselves thought they were illegal to sell.

John mate, I think most of us know you collect anything with 'air' preceding it, rather than any particular make!

13 Airsporters - I'm jealous! But good on yer!

At what point does a "collector" become a "hoarder"?
