Hi all, unchartered territory for me on this part of the forum!
Since my latest addition to my gun cabinet, I can really see the appeal. When the gun came to me it was unable to cock, I thought it was probably a worn sear or similar. After taking it apart I found that somebody had tried to re grind the piston to accept the trigger sear. The end result, a knackered piston!!
I know I'm hardly likely to find a replacement, so it looks like I will have to make one.
Has anybody attempted this? Due to lack of latch rod, will the piston require hardening at the point of the grooves where both the trigger sear and intercepting sear engage?
Any help on this would be much appreciated.
P.s it's a series 3 model.
