Just wondering what the output would be if a fwb 600 or similar ssp 6ft .177 rifle was converted with a barrel change that had a longer barrel in .22, both being more efficient. Would the output bump up to near the 12ftb limit?
I doubt it.
.22" is about 20% more efficient than .177". So, if it was originally around 5.5 ft/lbs, a .22" barrel might take it close to 7.
I doubt a longer barrel (and this is already a full size rifle) would add much. Unlike PCPs or CO2s, SSPs don't feature large volumes of unused gas that blows out the front. It's why they are much quieter.
Actually it is already patented, and not by the fellow in the video!

The patent holder was a character called Valery Pshenychny who used to post over on the yellow forum,
sadly no longer with us.
I tried buying one of the Paradigm prototypes but as far as I know it's still collecting dust in the corner of the office
The quietest air gun I've ever fired was a ssp ...... jb1
I honestly didn't think it was firing at first as all I herd was a faint click of the trigger
Dragon is by far the easiest to use i.m.o and the most 'recent ' but many Dragons need reseals -thankfully a few guys out there who do this . Mohawks - harder to cock so say .
