    Some Holts Auction Highlights.

    Hello,

    Just been watching the Holts London Auction with a few highlights below:

    Lot 605 Diana Break Barrel Air Rifle Hammer £700 Total £945

    Lot 610 Webley Mk 1 Double Spring Clip Model (discussed in earlier thread) Hammer £480 Total £610.

    Lot 624 Early Webley Mk3 Supertarget Air Rifle (crack to stock) Hammer £1,300 Total £1,755 ?????

    Lot 626 Gem Repeater Air Rifle Hammer £480 Total £610

    Lot 627 Macabre Fairground Target Hammer £260 Total £351

    Lot 629 Cased, BSA Cut-Away BSA Scorpian Air Pistol Hammer £420 Total £567

    Lot 630 Unique Baker Air Rifle Hammer £800 Total £1,080

    Wow, what happened with that Supertarget? Going rate is 400 at the most, surely?

    Thanks, Brian. Surprised the Diana sold for so much, though it was a nice example. Gem and Baker could have gone for plenty more on another day, perhaps. Scorpion and fairground target did OK though.

    holts.

    Ilove the webley mk3 series of which i have quite a number including target models.that £1300 seems a high price considering it has a cracked stock, what do you think was so special about it for that price,or did someone really want one regardless of the price.Roly.

    Sealed bid auction next in january.Some nice pieces their might have a go at a few.

    The Baker was the best buy in my opinon as it is the only one known, at least 2 people with loads of money wanted the Mk3 , you could have had the Baker and the Webley spring clip for less, l know which l would have had, but each to their own. the Gem didn't sell according to their sales site.
