Question Wanted: front sight for my Webley Omega

Ians thread prompted me about my Webley Omega.
If anyone has a front sight available that they wish to sell or trade with, could they please make contact?
I have posted in the wanted /swap section also.

    Cheers

Tis true but I wouldn't swap it for a Wobbly pistol. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Airs...l?sort=6&o=122

I am a bit of an Omega anorak. About five years ago I was renovating my umpteenth example of the same, and needed a front sight unit, so I sourced and modified (little bit of fettling with a Swiss file only), an HW80 / HW35 front sight. It looked the part, and with the rear sight set low, it allowed for good 30 yard open sight zeroing -- although am the first to admit that for closer zeroing ranges, only the genuine original article will do. Hope this (sort of) helps?

I had looked at that option a while back Gareth but couldn't bring myself to draw the first stroke of the file

It might take more than a large one, especially now that Ian has alerted me to scarcity and his having the supply all locked up

Have you had any luck yet Ian?

I am curious, are the Omega front sights real steel, sintered or aluminium?

i am very happy, my Omega front sight arrived last Thursday.
I found this out by calling the local post this morning to be told that Customs(?) had released it last Thursday and it takes up to three days for delivery.
Not bad considering it only took 6 days from Protek to NZ.

They are very thorough. Well, that must be the reason, surely
