Any updates from anyone on the performance and reliability of this gun since it's been out for a while now?

Mines still ok.
Prefers warm weather.

You have to feel strong to have a long session with it as it is a handful.

Much superior to earlier Dan Wessons.

Thanks for that, what FPS with a match pellet does it achieve in warm weather may I ask?

Great guns these, hefty in the hand, exceptionally well made, accurate and a good performer for a CO2 pellet gun.

Gun grey pellet version is the one I have.

Thanks for your help guys it looks like the pellet version Dan Wesson 715 is now on my shopping list!

In this instance I will buy the pellet version over the BB version as by all accounts it's more efficient in pellet than BB.

I think you will be impressed.

I liked the original DWs (I have 3) but the 715 is much better.

I am sorry, but every time I look at this thread and see the title, I can't help but think it is something officer Crabtree from Allo, Allo would say.

Not that I am any better at typing with my fat fingers....

So, back on topic - I bought the 'barn door' 2.5" Dan Wesson from peteswright, I have tinkered away at it, but it still won't hit anything smaller than a barn door, but it has got under my skin now and I have the revilver bug. I handled a 715 in my local gun shop and was totally impressed with it. I think it is going to be my next purchase; 6" pellet firer in either nickel or the shiny black metal finish.

R.E. the title, I know what you mean. I'm also fond of flashing my Titch at bummers in the woods.

I have 2 2.5" DWs, one a pellet and one BB. Both are fantastically well balanced, while neither are match accurate I love to shoot them both. Tin cans at 10 Metres are consistent (especially beer cans) but they are so much fun to shoot. Both shoot Gamo lead ball very well.

Nothing handles quite like a Revilver.

Do you find the pellet firer is more accurate? Logic suggests it would be, but with the example of the smooth bore model I have, logic packed it's bags many moons ago!

The Gamo lead ball works well in rifled revolvers because it is 4.5mm so it engages the rifling, the H&N copper coated lead are undersized so they do not. Advantages being that they shoot well from revolvers, but they do not cycle in Semi-autos that feed into the breech.

The pellet shooter is more accurate, definately!

Many years ago I used to have the real thing. Dan Wesson Pistol Pack. Mod 15 .357 Magnum. Came in its own attache case, complete with a two sets of grips, barrels and barrel shrouds in 2.5", 4", 6" and 8", and a nice, big, chunky Dan Wesson belt buckle.
The world's a much safer place now that it's probably part of a manhole cover somewhere in Manchester!!!
