Anyone recommended a good hard case that won't break the bank? Would prefer one that locks if possible

I'm happy with my inexpensive Plano Gunguard. They do a range of sizes. By no means the sturdiest of cases but fit for purpose at a decent price ....They have a padlock 'hole' built in. ( well mine does)

I would not recommend the Plano Special Edition case as it does not hold the rifle securely inside due to inadequate foam lining. I had to install additional foam inside to stop contents moving around.

No locks but incredible value. I've got one for my stalking rifle- does everything it needs to.

I kept my hw45 pistol in a foam hard case long term several months without using it,i found that the chemicals in the foam affected the metal of the pistol tarnishing it.
