    Worst air pistol design ever?

    The Koma/Voere LDP4 is the pistol version of the Voere rifle (a Diana mod 16 copy) and in the words of John Griffiths, author of The Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols, is arguably the worst design ever made. The sight base is ridiculous.

    What were they thinking?

    True they are bad but their design is the standard, break barrel, cylinder in line format that has been so successful in many other pistols (Original 5, FWB70, etc.). The compressed air (from the spring) doesn't have to travel backwards, then upwards, then forwards - unlike some.

    Seriously. They are ugly, hard to cock, have rubbish sights, poor grip shape, heavy triggers, low power and can't hit anything.

    Ok, they are cute as nostalgic collectors items, and even I have a couple of them, but as pistols they are awful.
