Worst air pistol design, ever? ... Not that I agree with him, but purely for sport, will put the kettle on, make a brew, and sit back and await our I.J.'s contribution to this thread.
The Koma/Voere LDP4 is the pistol version of the Voere rifle (a Diana mod 16 copy) and in the words of John Griffiths, author of The Encyclopedia of Spring Air Pistols, is arguably the worst design ever made. The sight base is ridiculous.
What were they thinking?

Utter rubbish but I still manged to nearly collect the set!
Hi Danny,
There are probably quite a few air pistols worthy of this title, but I reckon the Hubertus and Certus must be pretty high on the list.
As discussed in an earlier thread, the Hubertus not only has a ridiculous cocking procedure, but can be dangerous if the sear lets go during the process. As for the Certus, I reckon Wallace & Gromit would be a more appropriate name to stamp on the side rather than Cogswell & Harrison. I must confess to owning examples of both as they have their place in the collecting world, but had I been looking for an air pistol during the time these pistols were made, I would have quickly passed them by on my way to the nearest Webley dealer.

True they are bad but their design is the standard, break barrel, cylinder in line format that has been so successful in many other pistols (Original 5, FWB70, etc.). The compressed air (from the spring) doesn't have to travel backwards, then upwards, then forwards - unlike some.

HW45.
No, kidding.
GAT. And similar pop-outs.
Seriously. They are ugly, hard to cock, have rubbish sights, poor grip shape, heavy triggers, low power and can't hit anything.
Ok, they are cute as nostalgic collectors items, and even I have a couple of them, but as pistols they are awful.
Thats been done. http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Airs...ml?sort=6&o=96
