    New Weihrauch stocks.

They've produced improved stocks for many of their rifles in recent years.

Why on earth don't they do it for the HW80?

Long overdue for a decent stock.

As long as they keep selling enough of them in America, it probably doesn't make economic sense to change a winning formula.

Pity though, I think an HW in a stock more like those from AA or on the Webley Tomahawk/Longbow, or a variant of the 97 stock, would be very appealing.

except the 99/50 stock is spoiled somewhat with having "weihrauch" cut into it. rather have a plain stock
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

Yes, I hate that. One reason I will never buy a current production one.

I think the HW80 has a very good comfy stock!

    A lot better than others!

Logos on cars, logos on gunstocks - I don't see the diff/problem.

I actually prefer the Mk1 HW80 stock, the squared off fore end makes for a good stable siting position or rested shot.

Shame Weihrauch stopped supplying dedicated left hand stocks for some of their air rifles, HW 80 included !

I am with you there sir. The older stock is just more beautiful. As far as OEM stocks go I think that Air Arms have sawn with the TX 200 and the Prosport, specially the walnut versions.

    Top one a current 80 stock. Bottom one a late 80's HW85?

The bottom one is from a "standard" / non deluxe 85 mk1. In guessing the top one is a later model 80.

Agreed, the MkI 80 stock is a splendid piece of design.

Bottom one looks like an 85 to me too. And the pic is captioned HW85K.
