    J S Fine Art Auction 28 January.

    Hello,

Some interesting air pistols coming up for sale at J S Fine Arts Auction on 28th January, including this 'Spring Clip' Mk 1 and possible Lincoln pattern prototype.

Lots of other early Webley pistols etc, so well worth a look.

    Regards

And on the rifle side of things:

    Greener
    Musketeer
    Anson
    Various MkIII Webleys
    Various old BSAs
    Some Haenels
And what I am pretty sure is a Britannia, listed as a "GEM (?)"

I used to own a spring clip Webley mk 1 SN 515. They could have made a not so fine matched pair

I will go and view on Friday as it's my town but with that buyer premium it puts you right off.

It really does stevegv8, eye watering. You expect something, last auction I went to a few years back now I paid 12%, 15% is considered normal and 20% high ( so I am told) so 23%?

Bought a refinished prewar BSA there only last year but commission too steep now with vat too. Got to pay for their new sale room I suppose.
And when I sold a load of shot guns there I got bugger all.

    FEES and VAT and

    Some nice toys .
    Too far for me .
    But the FEES .......

Someone said apparently they will post , but to Rfd only ?
    Is that true ?
So thats an added fee of say £25 .
Plus the Delivery fee so lets guess PF48 at say £16 .

And don't mention the online bidding platform ....thats 3% on top .
    Doesn't seem a lot but for a
    £400 airgun :
    - thats ...ummmm ermmmm ( hold on , me pencil needs sharpening ) . , ummm , ermmm
£548 plus your petrol to get to and fro from the nearest gunshop.

Apologies to everyone if me maths is rubbish

AUCTION FEES , plus On-line Bidding Fee , plus Rfd to Rfd plus = " HOW MUCH ! "

See my calculating attempts to make a final figure for a purchase - think I'll wait for the next Birmingham
