Hiya., Just been given a lovely little BSA Airsporter rifle in .22, by a mate who has no inkling of getting an Airgun Licence..he bought it new years ago for his son, who also has no interest in it, and barely shot it.....so,. wondered how I can ID it, if at all ??...I have looked on t'internet to see if I can., but can find nothing to help.
Any ideas how to find out what mark it is?? or will I put a couple of pics on??
Thanks in advance..

Seem to recall one of mine was on the barrel obscured by the cocking lever, another was on the barel n clear view bt was very badly worn and another was on the cocking lever. I'm sure one was on the trigger guard too bt that was a later one. If the loading tap opens when it is cocked it's a MK1 or 2.

It looks like a Mk6 Airsporter, do you have a clearer pic of the rear sight?
Have you had it out of the stock ?

Or a Mk5. As lightning22 alludes to, the rear sights are different and an easy way of telling them apart (the Chambers parts diagrams show this).
Thanks Guys...Had a look at the schematics, and agree...a Mk 6...thankyou all...
