    Oaks Open Shoot 29th January

    We are holding an Open competition at the Oaks (round 3 of the winter league) - usual 30 target UKAHFT format and open to all safe shooters.

    Fees will be £6 guests and £2 to members.

    Signing in from about 8:30am

    Competition start 9:30am (safety briefing 9:20am).

    Post code is BN41 2RF (Mile Oak Farm)

    Please drive at walking pace through the farm

    Lol was just telling `er indoors there was nothing on and i would just go to the range at Ford when this appeared .. still she is very understanding

    We have 20 targets set in the wood and will be putting 10 in the (cattle free) field first thing tomorrow.

    Setting field out from 7:30am.

    Plink open as soon as setting out is complete.

    for a splendid morning, almost entirely rain free.

    Most memorable part of the day ...... the journey home, for which every inch of the way there was a loud and resonant chuckling, guffawing and mutlyesque (sic) spluttering from my passenger seat.

    That what happens when a certain northerner is generous enough to let Vince beat him.

    I don't think the grin will leave him for at least a week

    Yeah, Andy has damaged his shoulder unfortunately!

    The recoil coming out of that 'toast rack' from that piece of junk, has bruised him up a bit i believe!....

    Thanks all for a great morning, I really enjoyed my first shoot and think I could get into this.

    Also thanks to Kim and Aaron for giving me plenty of tips on the way round.
