Are these a real step up in construction quality and lense clarity from the Vantage range?

How do they compare to the Panoramas?

whats wrong with the vantage range? ive just brought a vantage 3-12x44 and think its great value for the money

So do I. I've had a couple and they were fine.

I was just wondering if it was worth paying more for the AMX.

If you compare them like for like then the Airmax AMX does have higher specs. ie 16 layer glass v 11 layer.

Compare the Vantage max 4-12x40 AO (14 185) with the same size Airmax AMX (13 130).

Of course it's getting your eye to them both that matters.
