I have acquired an amazing example of this classic 10 shot in .22 cal
I'm looking for a spare 10 shot BSA mag. I have been told the mags for this gun are unique to the gun and the standard 10 shot mags are not compatible.
Can anyone offer any advise on my latest acquisition to my collection.
Cant seem to find much info on this rare 10 shot springer.

The old mag can be troublesome.
It is turned by an indexing lever.
The new mag is self indexing and works much better.
I fitted the new one to mine after making a small cut in the plastic base of the mag to stop the index lever fouling the mag.
I recall that my new mag was the first edition.
Later ones might be different.
Another option is to remove the index lever.
If these guns are operated carefully they are pretty good and a bit undervalued IMO.
Attempts at rapid fire will cause jams.
Don't point the barrel up when loading as pellets can get into the rear of the gun.
Try not to fire when empty.
Pulling the underlever half back lets you remove the mag once the mag lock is released.

You can also remove what I think would be called and indexing pin on the cocking lever so you can use the newer magazines, although for some reason this still doesn't allow you to use the single shot adapter (I will have to look into that more).
