I found your comments fascinating and would love to read the whole bit (in English, I am such a pleb with other languages). Re some of the derogatory comments on these guns, I have two LP53s and one Lucznic (dated 1978) and whilst the Walthers have the air of superiority I rather like the Predom.

Ref you comments on markings, mine does not have the German power marking but does have 'WZ1970' (Not 170 as per your article). If you have a translation of the article on computer I would really appreciate a copy.

My mistake, the pistol was officially given the designation KL 170, but the gun was actually marked WZ 1970 as you say.
You have pm re your request.

    Unhappy

    Hi all

I had a reply from Filip, Not good unfortunately

    "Hello,
so sorry i have some bad news for you. My boss is a bit scared to send this kind of item to the UK because of various laws in different countries and he just doesn’t want to risk Smutek His and mine tip is, if some more ppl were interested in buying it, you could sum up the orders and order like five or so at once. But still he says that we can ship it only to poland sooo, you either find someone in poland we could ship it to and then he will send them himself to you, or you could pick it up. He’s running a large business, including normal guns so he seriously just doesnt want to risk. My apologies i’ve tried my best."

I imagine that shipping to New Zealand is out of the question too. bugger.

So a weekend bus tour from the old country to Poland is on the cards John?

Why not bid for one on the German eGun? The Predoms come up quite frequently and at a reasonable price There are currently two on offer where the seller (in Poland) is prepared to ship to the UK:

    http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=6301164

    http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=6301976

The seller is also offering a batch of 10 genuine Predom push rods, current bid with 1 day to go is 4 euros.

    http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=6133772

There is also a third gun being offered from Germany:
    http://www.egun.de/market/item.php?id=6332182
again with shipping to the UK, but unfortunately this one comes with a Walther LP3, so could prove expensive.

I have bought several airguns via eGun over the past few years and never had a bad deal or had one go astray.

WOW!! I always thought that overseas posting wasn't allowed on egun!!

I know a chap at the club that bids on (and wins!) some nice guns but he has a friend in Germany that gets them and posts to him personally, It must just be for the ones that the owners won't post internationally!!

    Looks like i'll be joining!!

    Cheers, John

OK, that's a shame but John, thank you very very much for taking the time and trouble to follow this up
It at least seems like there is a healthy population of Predoms out there, but just a bit of a hurdle when it comes to import?
