Have a safe journey and look forward to seeing you.

I just need to see a queue of collectors, as looooong as a vets bill and will have been worth the effort

    Hello Pete,

Weather looks set fair for Sunday, so no reason why this shouldn't be the tremendous success your tireless efforts deserve.

    See you Sunday.

Bl**dy Binners and his fair. I didn't get any sleep last night/this morning, never mind the night before the fair - such is my anticipation.

It will also be good to meet up with members on here and have a proper natter about old airguns - nothing better!

As I am going up as a trader, I have to get up at 4.00am on Sunday to load up the Van. I am not looking forward to this ) but at least I will get to look around before the fair opens. As long as it doesn't take too long to set up. :

Going to have to give it a miss Pete, my fine friend. Tried EVERYTHING to get the ex to swap weekends and take my middle boy to his Swimmng Gala, but no can do.

Hope you all enjoy yourselves, but similarly, I hope none of you get a real bargain, as I want them put to one side for the next fair that our Binners puts together, so that I can snuffle them up, instead.

    Anticipation!

Pete, it WILL be an almighty success, 'tis written in the scrolls.........anyway I'll be there so what more do you want LOL. Modest, me?

Just spent the week making sure all modes of transport are up and running, petroled up, oiltight and ready to roll, even dug out the bus pass just in case!
If things got desperate I could yomp it in about 2 hours.

I haven't been this excited since.....well you can't divulge all your secrets can you.

    See you there, Carl.

    Jon,

Apologies for not coming to say hello today. I saw you several times across all the thousands of airguns, but each time you were deep in conversation with someone, so I thought " maybe later", but ultimately we missed each other. Hope you had a great fair!

    Thumbs up

    Cheers Pete

As John and Mel said, Fantastic event with great peeps, I enjoyed every minute of it and brought a Webely mk1 home that just needed a breech seal, Luckily I had one! And a Gamo PR45 that had a perished piston O ring, Both are working fabulously now!!

PS, The mk1 was £60 and the Gamo was £10!!

    Well I enjoyed my day!
Was able to learn a bit and also answer some questions about my own guns which was of the most value.
Got to meet Chris Thrale who's Webley air rifles book I thumb to death and John Milewski who's Air gun World articles are a monthly treat, a thoroughly nice chap too.
Also was able to meet and congratulate Binners on his making it happen.
Hope all enjoyed it as much as I did and that there are many more.
More to the point I hope the traders liked it and did well because without them turning up there'd be no fair at all.

Now that was my loss Lakey - I'm very sorry to have missed you. I could have showed you the original BSA booklet I picked up alongside the Improved Model Britannia one!

I have been regularly attending arms fairs for the last 3 decades and today's treat was the best I have ever been to in terms of the sheer volume of vintage airguns and the choice of items on offer. We were all literally spoilt for choice. It was also a pleasure to meet up with so many collectors and chat about airguns for some 6 hours.

Binners, you know this now has to become a regular event, don't you?

My sincere thanks and appreciation to you and Liz for your incredibly hard work in organising this event. The Bisley Classic had nothing on 'Airgun Day'

    John
