Hi guys
My hw99 has a bit of a problem - the end of the cocking link rubs on the spring bring cocking. If I fit a delrin piston sleeve to stop it touching it chews it up! Any ideas how to sort it?
Cheers!

A thinner metal sleeve made from a steel beercan?

Hi Tinbum! No its tried delrin, plastic milk bottle and it even chewed up a titan piston sleeve.
Another 99S with a cocking problem yet people still recommend and rate them, beats the proverbial outta me...
Ps, I'm truly sorry if my comment isn't very helpful but the only really helpful piece of advice I can give is 'get rid and get something else, like a 95k' as the cocking issue with your 99S will never be 101% cured no matter how much you try...
Not being helpful I'm afraid but I sit here wondering if people take them back to the dealers under warranty or just try to sort them out themselves? Surely if enough went back for repair/replacement, eventually it would cost Weihrauch lots of money and they would sort the issue out. It's obviously a material or design flaw as it doesn't happen on other models (to any great extent).
Just saying......
Daystate Air Ranger FAC - Kral Bullpup & NP03 - CZ 452 .22lr - Lithgow 17hmr - Remington 783 .223 - Franchi 612vs 12G - Renato Gamba 12G O/U - Hatsan Escort 12G
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.....
Now to be a bit usefull since some coments here are just to bash the 99... your spring is probably bent. Happened me once, was a bent spring. Cocking shoe dont reach the spring if its normal. check if the ends of the spring are well made too, as that may let the spring stay bent (even if it looks straight outside)
