Anyone got a Beretta PX4 Storm?

Are they a good co2 gun, accurate and do they have a rifled barrel?

The flip magazine and option of firing pellets or bb certainly looks good.

IIRC, the older models had a rifled barrel, newer ones are smoothbore.

One of very few pistols I took back for a refund.
Wildly inaccurate and pellet jams.
Some gun shops refused to stock them.

I had one, it wasn't very accurate and was fairly underpowered. It was good fun for a bit of unambitious plinking. Got rid of it due to constantly stopping to reload the mag. Spare mags were like rocking horse poo, and a stupid high price around 30-40 quid!

I moved onto a CP88 with 8 mags. Just as good fun, but more accurate and didn't miss the blowback feature at all.

They are all disappointing really. The index of the mags always about 0.1 to 0.25 out of perfect align and what with subtle gas losses, cartridges rapidly cooling and the British weather hampering CO2 efficiency i gave it up as a bad job years ago.

One day someone at Umarex wiill design something like a Ruger with break barrel direct feed of a single shot. In this way by direct feeding a pellet into rifling we minimise all the associated crap that comes with auto magazines and can seal that barrel off with a good O ring......then we can start to enjoy something with atleast a chance of power and accuracy...
Id give the multi shot ability up for fun to get that.

They are crude with poor triggers.
Not accurate but I admit they are powerful.

The Umarex Mak is ok but no blowback.
Would suit your wife.
I have a KWC Mak in 4.5 bb with great blowback but that fails impressively to hit any tin can out of 5 at 10 yds.

Trouble is single shot is boring.
Which is why we buy the modern repeaters.

But I took 4 modern co2 pistols out recently and the only one that I really enjoyed shooting was a Umarex Peacemaker.

Old co2 pistols are more fun but they do tend to be single shot and you need a mate like my Baz to keep them fettled.

I think the Umarex S&W revolver is one of the best co2 pistols for accuracy and power.
Choice of barrels too.
I like the 8 inch. No jokes please.

Thanks for the reply - I take it you mean you have two PX4's, have you shot the Makarov?

Yep got a Px4, and managed to get 3 spare mags cheap via a friend in the States. Great blowback but you are working with fixed sights. Using the lower rail you could fit a mount and a red dot. Hardly had any jams, but using the right pellets and seating them properly helps! I prefer my ASG Cz P09 but the blowback isn't as good and I have fitted a red dot sight for better accuracy.
