Delrin is too hard for O rings, most of the seals are made of various grades of Polyurethane, some impregnated and can vary in colour from bright to dark red through white, blue, cream etc.

When you say O rings are you referring to the piston bearing bands?

Are you thinking of Oilion bar , a self lubricating plastic. It's green.

Yes that's the Bearing bands, you can buy black or white Delrin bar on E-Bay, in most lengths and diameters.

Delrin is a trade name like Sellotape or Hoover. People tend to use it when talking about different nylon types.

Tried to make a spring guide from this once - very easy for the tool to leave marks when turning.
The only way I could get it smooth was to really move fast when turning.
    It was very odd.

Maybe ok for bearings etc. But a bugger to turn for a guide.

I'd 2nd 2 200's comments - I found the same - very high speed required to turn smooth - and no noticeable difference from delrin

I thought the bearing rings were made from PTFE ?

Delrin has good abrasion resistance and rigidity, once installed it's good for many thousand shots, PTFE is a bugger to swell with age and expand with temp, add to which delrin/acetal is easily available and quite cheap.
