They might be a bit long for your 28.
Work well in some old rifles.
Ok, I'm in love with these pistols. The repeating mechanism is very well executed, but it was designed 80 years ago for pellets that probably don't exists now. I have the .177 and the .22 and current round balls can tend to just roll out the barrel. I read that these may work best with "cat slugs"? I saw these slug pellets made in England for outdated rifles. That are slightly larger than .22?

Anyone solve this one? H&N has a slightly oversized .177 I am going to try.

Found a pellet that works. I found these old English Pellets in a box with a early 1950s Hy-score pistol. Milbro Caledonia 22 waisted slugs. Below I compared them to a RWS Hobby on left and and round ball on right. As you can see, it is slightly shorter, nice round tip and pretty stout tail. I loaded three pellets that I oiled, cause these were really old. I got three shots with no hang up and 2 shots were in the 200+ fps. So I was getting a better seal than with the balls. I look at the loading gate and it is much wider than the round balls. This makes me think the pistol was not necessarily designed for just round balls. But it was designed for older slug type pellets of its time. Question is are these still available? I have three left. Lol

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
I was shooting some today.
Use cheap pellets like this just to test guns.
Think they are still available here.
The makers Milbro also do a TR Pellet.
Twin ring.
Apart from the twin ring they are a good match for the S&W pellets originally used in the S&W 78g.
So they work very well in mine.
