Don't forget you'll need charging gear to go with it. Secondhand from here might be your way forward. But you still need to be fairly sure you'll get on with what you intend to buy.

i'd go for a beech stocked aa s410/k,s200 or a nice falcon but you need charging gear as said before,a bottle and gauges or a stirrup pump.

The question is how deeps your pocket (like everything else in life) But for under £500 you really can't go wrong with an s410 or even a second hand hw100 both great rifles, also depends which you feel comfy with.
