    Hw30 custom stocks?

I'm loving shooting bell target with my hw30, but I can't shake the feeling that a target stock would make it even more enjoyable.

Has anyone been down this road before?

    yorkiets,

    Modify the HW30 stock

I have done this with my HW99S stock - which IIRC is the same as the HW30.

I have shortened the butt by ca. 40 mm, and added some epoxy to build up the grip to an almost vertical pistol grip, allowing a straight line for my trigger finger that is parallel to the barrel.

I don't know who designed those HW stocks, but you need arms the length of a gorilla's, and ten inch fingers to reach the trigger

To finish the job off, I have painted the stock with Ford Electric Orange pearl paint

    Have fun

    Best regards

    Russ

I'm sure I speak for everyone, Russ, when I ask to see a picture of this beauty!

    Hear hear!

And I'd like to know if it predates Nick G's vile looking bright orange CS1000 stock, that I seem to remember he painted around the middle of last year.

    Rooti, Yorkiets,

Here be some photos of the HW99S - the ones taken at home are crap, but the ones taken at my mates workshop show the colour better

Thanks for that, Russ. Nice paint job.

Has it added a lot of weight?
