    Vestlenning, nice stock!

Any tips on how you machined inletting? I've just ordered a roughed out HW99 blank from Custom stock, which I'm going to inlet and finish to suit my '30. Any info appreciated!

    Thanks!

The stock is made from 15 + 9 + 15 mm plywood. I took some material away from the the middle pieces before gluing it all together, like this:

Then I finished the rest of the inletting with chisels and a rotary tool.

I made a stock for a hw30 for a chap on here a couple of years ago, it was made from Canadian big leaf maple which he supplied, and he wanted to finish it himself so I only have a couple of pics of it before it was totally finished.

I never got too see the finished stock, the grain was amazing so would have been really nice when finished.

Lovely, Mark. I'd like to see it under a finish. Is the owner still here?
