    Old BSA !

It is a BSA Cadet Major. Not seen one painted black. Spares at T.W. Chambers or John Knibbs.

looks like a cadet major, the original finish would have been blued with etching on the cylinder.they don't have a great deal of value in that condition but spare parts are available.atb

If you look on the bay there are tons of spares available.. people look at the price of the spares on knibbs and think they can make a fortune on the bay.. it don't work.like that... the most valuable part of your rifle is the rear sight.
In my opinion, if it is working and complete, you should sell it as a project and I would value it at 40 quid. I sold one in good condition last year for 80... I wouldn't accept any less than 40 as, yes it may be a fixer upper, but what you have is quality.
This would be an excellent father and son project. The outcome would be a handsome, well built and quite accurate junior rifle.
Good luck with your sale.. please don't part it out.
Looking forward to seeing what else you have .
