Unfortunately the bar is a little low on the employee entrance exam and some less knowledgeable people slip through the net. Think of it as a training oppurtunity rather than uninformed staff and smile.

Anyone can post a non pressurised vessel air rifle via the 48 hour service, but like many (breakable and valuable) things it can only be insured for more than £100 if you have an account with them.

An air rifle can be sent 48hr service, but it must be sent via a post office counter. You cannot present it at a Parcelforce depot yourself.

PCP's are not supposed to be posted, but there are ways to do it without it being an issue....

    Pf48

Posted a couple of rifles in the last few weeks to BBS members using PF48. Just take the stock of the rifle to make the package as small as possible. If the counter staff ask what's inside...sports equipment. Mach 1.5...Oh it was to the UK.

    I've sent a few.
The terms on their website you need are the following:

Arms and Ammunition - low powered air weapons Low-powered air weapons (air rifles, air guns and air pistols), together with lead pellets and other airgun and airsoft projectiles, can be sent but are subject to the following conditions:

These items must be sent on an express48 service only
These items must be sent via the Post Office only, and presented at the counter
Enhanced compensation cover is not available

I usually open their terms and conditions on my phone before hand, just in case I need to show them its ok
