    Diana 52 Ultra Carbine.

Anybody got one of the above in either calibre ?

Just wondered how they perform being slightly shorter than the full length 52 or the semi-recoilless 54 ?

I think they only came in .22" flavour, John.

I'll let you have a play with my home brewed one next month if you like ? :-

Thanks for this Mick, I'll look forward to having a few shots with it !
.22 cal. is OK actually. Every now and again I do a bit of hide/barn shooting on one of the farms using Fenmans but I sort of fancy one of these "stubby" 52's for the job on a whim really !

    -Diana-52-Ultra-Carbine

hi i got a brand new one a few years back in .22 cal and to be honest it wasn't very good it was twangtastic
i think they would need a lot of work to make a good air rifle the one i had was that bad it killed one of my scopes with in 100 pellets and about every 50 pellets i had to tighten the stock screws up i may have got a bad one but i know i wouldn't buy another one which is a same as i think they are a nice looking air rifle and i have a couple off side levers in my collection
    regards shaun

With you being a leftie, John, and especially if operating in confined spaces, I somehow feel that you'd be better served by a smaller break barrel.. Like a 99.

I saw that one but it's not actually an ultra carbine. I fancy swapping my tracker for one.

Yep, found it now, it was the addition of the moddy that threw me.
Unsure if it is the UC version and not a cut-down 52 ?

Pretty sure it is the UC version and not a cut-down 52 !
Ah I'm wrong then. If that's an extra moderator giving it the extra length then could be one. Pity it's lost the foresight.

Has anyone had one of these bruisers in FAC form? Wonder what they are capable of and happiest at.

48/52's shoot nice at 21-22fpe. There's plenty of weight to kill the recoil.
