    BSA Ultra se cocking noise

I have a brand new BSA Ultra se tactical .177 it has had about 1500 pellets through it.
I have cleaned and lubed the gun as recommended, mainly on exterior but also a drop now and again on the bolt.

Recently when cocking I'm getting a noise whilst cocking the gun like a spring that's rotating whilst being compressed (the only way I can describe it). It's not a grinding noise and the bolt surface is still polished and smooth.

My questions are.......is this normal? Should I be concerned? Other than this the gun functions normally.

If it's new then it has a warranty, ANY issue return it to the dealer for their opinion first (& to get a date/record) or for return/repair at BSA.

Pointless to pay for a warranty but not use it, or worse still invalidate it with home tinkering.
