6.5 creedmoor and viht

Hi,

Has anyone had any success loading a 6.5 creedmoor with viht n160? Thinking it should work well with the heavier bullets 140+

Sir Slots a Lot has had good success with it and sent me his data on the stalking directory, I don't have a 6.5 CM but was enquiring for a buddy. I know its a bigger capacity lower pressure cartridge but it works very well in my 6.5 x 55 under 120-140gr bullets

Hi Buddy.
I thought the same and done a lot of testing with a number of bullets. - I can confirm that Vit 160 is very suitable for this cal

I initially started using H4550 behind a 140 grn Amax which is a very good , if dirty powder.
But I have recently swapped over to using vit 160 shooting either 140 grn ELDm or 140 grn Nosler Custom Comp.


Accuracy is excellent - sub 0.25 MOA and velocity is slightly up on my H4350.
I am running the 140 grn ELD with 43.1 grns of Vit 160 - COL 2.850 - Velocity 2760 fps - fed primers.

Work up to load as normal.
