I have a hills pump don't know how similar to yours this is but when it happens to mine it's the non return valve that's sticking so because I have to strip it down to clean it I tend to send of for a service kit and kill two birds as to speak...
My RWS Stirrup pump has just stopped working and I am not sure why
Used it this morning to fill my pcp pistol with no problems at all, had a plinking session in the garden then went to recharge it again just now and it locks up when I get to around 50 bar.Bled the line and tried again but got progressively harder to pump and locked up at 50bar again - couldn't lift the pump lever up or push it down. Felt like a hydraulic lock of air somewhere within the system.
Anyone had any similar issues or can advise what could be wrong?
A Parts diagram would be most welcome if anyone has one for a 2 stage stirrup pump

Thanks for your reply - Where is the non return valve located within the pump assembly?

small 3rd stage seal might have gone...
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
Sounds like the non return between first & second stage has failed.
Mine stops working after bout 30-40 pumps!!!
Then after a couple of minutes I can carry on pumping.
Sorry I couldn't be of any help.
