I was going to add 'minor grumble' to the title but did not ....
In the process of tracing a leak in my Merlyn, new filler valve dowty washer fitted, back together and pressurised. Hiss of air escaping from around the pressure gauge. Why I had not noticed this hiss before I don't know and I forgot to see where the air was escaping from, gauge itself or the dowty washer ... Gauge removed as I intended to put a new dowty washer on ... aaarrgh! Not a standard size washer. This one is 8mm (external diameter 14mm) with the gauge having a M8 thread. Not having come across this before I have had to order some. Why can't people stick to standard sizes? ... OK so I guess this is a standard size but you know what I mean.
Hopefully this will cure my leak .....
Why can I never spell 'gauge'? Always want to put 'guage'.
Cheers, Phil
