    From clay shooting...

I'm using shot size XX instead of XX

    Wrong chokes.

    My jacket doesnt fit.

Its raining (which does make it difficult if you wear glasses!)

Hello, well it was one of those days, it wasnt raining and was warm for a change, and I was feeling quite chuffed even if someone was filling MY target full of holes, never mind, I could not hit a bl**dy thing and his father did say sorry. He was about 11 years old!!!!.
Ever noticed that just as you are about to fire and everything is spot on then the mag is empty.
Or the chap next to you thumps his rifle down and shakes the bench just as you pull the trigger.

Its still fun even if I cant hit a thing, so it's OK.
Best wishes and shooting to all.
    Geoff.

Wasn't until I purchased my first gun for years that I realized I had cataracts. Even though I point all three barrels at any target I still never manage to hit any thing. I hope one day I shall have new lens,s in my eyes then I may actually hit something that I am aiming at.

Found myself wondering if there are "custom built" contact lens,s with reticles etc for use with open sights once my eyes are sorted! Amazing what boredom can do.

I have to say chaps there are some cracking excuses here, keep them coming.
Shooting Air Rifles is like being a pubic hair on a toilet seat.
Eventually someone comes a long and P's you off.

It's really not that bad, it only looks that way because everyone shot better than I did.

that is very true.we had one on the range wearing dress shoes instead of DMP. Oh| i just remembered, he used his berret in his shoulder. he now has a permanent tattoo of our cap badge on his shoulder.

There are no excuses, you either produce a good shot or a bad shot, if you make excuses you are only trying to justify to the other shit shots that you are not as shit as they are. Be honest to yourself you missed therefore you are shit. practise, practise, practise the more practise the more consistent a shit shot you will be.

cant stop reading this as it reminds me of all my range days. the rifle range not the shop. i know one day i was crap with an slr. so, next time we went i was given the privilege of carrying the gimpy. with words still ringing my ears. you might hit something with that.
