sounds like its regulator needs reseal and setting up.
Dave.
I have a MK1 HW100, that is passing air straight through the barrel when the cylinder is screwed in.
I have tried replacing the 12x1mm seal, but it still leaks, what Else could it be, does my exhaust valve need replacing , possibly sticking ?

Valve firing pin is not seating (The white bit) In the regulator
Yes it was working ok before it was disassembled to replace an o ring, is there anything I can do to fix the valve itself to help it seal or is it a case of buying a new one ?
if you have removed the barrel and the breech block and then fitted and tigthened the barrel BEFORE the breech block on reassembly the breech block may not seat with the 12 x 1 oo ring correctly and may be the cause. I have had this before. the breech block was sitting slightly proud.
So try removing barrel and reseating breech block?
yes thats what I did. Breech block first then barrel. good luck
there is an excellent article on airgunforum /forums/showthread.php/182879-hw100-stripdown-service

Air can only come out of the barrel one way buddy and that is the valve is not seating and sealing correctly clean it
Like you said it worked before so you have disturbed the seating somehow when refitting the block back in
Whats the best way to clean the valve ?
I used whitening toothpaste to do mine and lapped it in to the cover, be gentle.

Any diagrams or videos available on this?
I tried a little bit of fine wire wool on the nylon valve face and on the mating surface of the metal block, seals initially once you cock the gun again, its leaking straight out of the barrel again.
Maybe need a new nylon valve and block.
Persevere with it buddy
Lap it in with 2000 grit paste by hand spend a bit of time on it
It has to seal it if done correctly and make sure it is all cleaned scrupulously before refitting
Nothing to lose before spending your money
It should work
