    40 sleeps to go, peeps.

Hey, if you're looking in and considering getting to this brilliant event.....DO IT!

    You'll have a fantastic time.

It's so easy to be lulled into thinking it's a while away yet, but as we get closer, these Bashes seem to just get on us so quickly.....so get them transfers and cheques into Uncle Mick and book your place at the party.

Lots of returnees I'm looking forward to seeing once again and let's have more new friends joining the fold too.

    And (just for Nick).......BOING!!

I just sent you a very long PM mate but the effer didn't get through aaarrgghhh. Maybe I'll ring you in a bit if you're 'free' ? But, not important. Any plinking since that special 90 mins the other day ?

Ooh, just remembered, the chap I bought the Ratcathcer for from you is moving to Turkey and to save any faff, is giving it back to me - no charge (against my protestations !). Will come in very well handy on the ferals in the barn

    Hey Pauly.

Sorry, had to log off earlier for tea and, just prior to that, was starting my thread on the Gamo Viper.

    Phone call? No problem, matey.

And excellent news on the Ratty, Pauly. I'm sure you'll put it to good use!

Did I do wrong ? Walking along the river tonight I saw the heron that was there the same time a couple of nights ago. It made a quick dash and grabbed a new born duckling. The parents did there best to protest, but against such a bird as the heron they couldn't really do anything. With the ducking hanging from the herons beak making a tragic call for help, I preceded to chase after the heron, I followed it under a road bridge the started to throw stones at it. Result, one very lucky chick, for now anyway. The bloody heron dropped it and finally flew off, but it will be back.
I know it's only nature, but fxxx the heron, I will side with the ducklings everytime. I must point out this is in the middle of Great Ayton, a village near me, otherwise the catapult would be out.

Oh and BOING, just to keep things relevant

What about donning a Bald Eagle suit, Dave?

That'd look a right picture, what with you running after that daft old heron whilst flapping your feathered arms and cawing menacingly!

    Must wear yellow wellies, though!

And nice one for rescuing little duck duck.

    BOING!
