June 3rd & 4th Boinger Bash --- Event and Payment Details

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    THE EVENT

    3rd and 4th June 2017 Boinger Bash

This will just be a weekend of chatting about guns, shooting, eating, drinking and getting to meet folks.

    THE PRICE

£20 including camping over the full weekend (3 nights or more if required)

£10 for just the one day attendance.

Part of this payment is for me to insure on the field so that folks without their own shooting insurance can attend.

    THE VENUE

    Higham Fields Farm
    Higham Fields Lane,
    Higham on the hill,
    Nuneaton,
    Warwickshire.
    CV13 6ET

    HOW IT WORKS

As the payment system I sorted out with our very own Mr Jim Tyler (BTDT) --- Lord of the Springs, worked so well in the past we'll do the same again this time.

    1) Anybody who would like to attend simply sends a cheque for £20 or £10 made payable to M Furniss (me) to my work address above
On the back of the cheque write your username, Forum, nearest postal town and the word "camping" if doing so.

    2) Alternatively you can make payment by bacs to the following account :-

    Payee --------------- Mr M J FURNISS
    Sort Code ---------- 09-01-28
    Account Number --- 03372473

If you put your BBS username as the reference I can then add your username to the Cheque list.

I will not be organising a licensed bar on site but as your cars will be accessible inside the site I suggest you bring your own.

And for this event we wont be having on site caterers but a gas fired bbq will be available for folks to cook their own food over the weekend.

Targets will include 200 Spinners, 2 Bell targets (10mm and 20mm), 40+ silhouette targets and the 61mmX 61mm Quigley Bucket out at 75 yards.

If there are any questions please ask on this thread and I will answer them here to save repetition.

Thank you once again to Jim

    All the best Mick

    Cool Boing!

    BOING!!

    Here we go then, folks.

This is the BIG one as the Boinger Bash returns ro its spiritual home month of June.

    BOING!!

If you have never attended one of these glorious meetings, please do yourself a huge favour, commit to it and emerge the other side an enlightened and Boingy new peep.

The Boinger Bash is set in a beautiful, tranquil setting. And you will meet lots of uber-friendly, like-minded enthusiasts. It's informal and, as long as you play safe, the emphasis is very much on having fun.

You might want to use it for dialling a setting into your gun. Some will just play with their own guns all day. Others will do a combination of mingling with other peeps, gleaning and sharing advice, trying different guns / tunes, letting others play with your guns. And it's HUGELY sociable, with many peoples' highlights being the "evening entertainment".

Many, many solid friendships have been forged at this enchantingly beautiful venue and it's growing meet by meet.

    I'll be there, peeps.

May have to wait until pay day to wire the dosh over, though, but rest assured, I'll be there!

Looking forward to seeing good friends again and making many new Boingerpeep friends.

I'm here Matey, been at the range all day Took the S410 and put it through its paces and it's doing what it should, I just need to change the scope over to a Nikko Mountmaster as I couldn't get on with the one on it, then I'll get back to the range in a couple weeks (Up in Sunderland over Easter) to really get to know my aim points at various ranges before I get it out in the field
Managed a bit of time with the HW90 today with new barrel today but again, need to change the mounts as it was on that droop compensating mount I bought for it before I discovered the real problem and wasn't happy with that, plus.... It hasn't got a silencer and it was like a Bullworker to cock without one
Roll on early retirement in 11 months, 2 weeks and 2 days (not that I'm counting) when I can spend more time with my lovely guns

I have just got a mountmaster 3x9 x 50 as a warranty replacement. Never been used. I was going to sell it at the cub or bash. But if you want a cheap scope pm me

Glad that you're happy with the S410, Pauly.
Stunning looking thing it is and an absolute bargain.

Like yourself, Nikko scopes seem to suit me,

Have you chrono'd the HW90? Just wondering about the cocking effort being high, see, especially if it's a .22? What's the barrel length?

I'm certainly not an expert on them, so not sure what they should be like normally, but plenty on here will be able to help / advise. Just wondering if ram pressure needs dropping / some other issue / perfectly normal?

    Sleepometer says.....55 to go, peeps.

    BOING!!
Yep, chrono'd it yesterday Tone and with different pellet weights it ranged between 10.18 and 10.87 so that's fine. A mate there has a much newer one and it's much easier to cock. My one is around 30 years old if I remember correctly and hadn't been used much I was told. I'll bring to the June Bash and see what you think and if The Cult is there I'm sure he will be able to give me a lot of advice and pointers.
Barrel length I think is 10"

That's a very kind offer Pete, thank you. Fortunately I did have a spare Mountmaster that I took off my HW100 when I changed that one to a FFP scope.
