You'll love it Les - the camping that is (and the Predator too), spend a late night around the Quigley Fire and you won't have a clue what's going on

Hey Tone, just FYI, I took a bit of 320 grit sanding paper to an old buttpad of mine that'd gone shiney (no sniggering at the back ). Just a few swipes with thumb pressure, and it took the glossiness off nicely.

Well the 98 is now short stroked and with any luck should be run in ready for June. Sweat blood swearing and a call to Nick was all it took

He'll still be at work at this time Pete but methinks Our Tone ought to take a bit of time off (or save a sickie for the June Bash) but knowing the mean buggers he works for, they probably won't pay sick pay
Glad you got the 98 prepared mate, will be nice to see it in June

Yep, still at work at that time and cheers for the Magic Roundabout time BOING, Pete!

Ah, Zebedee and co at teatime; remember that?

    BOING!!

Yep, could really do with some time off and rest to see if that helps the back, Pauly.

But, yes, you guessed correctly....no sick pay from da boss, only the measly SSP.

So, having to grin and bear it. The other lads, despite being busy with their own stuff, have mucked in and pushed bikes around when I needed them moving and also polished the wheels and all the bits lower down on the bikes to save me doing them. Good lads, they are.

Bremby's been a bit confused. For ages, she's been the one hobbling about and walking slowly. Now she's looking up at me thinking, "C'mon dad, what you hanging about at?" To be fair to my perfick little doggy, I think she totally understands and has been really good.

Day off tomorrow so I will try to stay in bed a little longer and have a more restful day and see if that works.

I bought some of that Voltarol stuff last night......hopeless.

But strong Ibuprofens do seem to take the edge off a little bit.....might be able to breath properly soon.

I was toying with the idea of downing a load of JD's tonight. I'm sure the short term effect would be good....just not sure if I could do with the thick head in the morning, though.....I've not been pissed for nearly 17 years!!

Good old Bremby, dogs just know don't they. My old Boxer dog Cassie would jump into my lap in the armchair every night and when I got the Snip (over 20 years ago) I was crapping it for a few days as she would normally just leap up in a split second. For a week after she just came in and sat at my feet until the day I beckoned her up onto my lap again
If your back condition is muscular Tone, alcohol may help as its a muscle relaxant but if its skeletal or nerve related, it won't help and as you say, you don't really want to wake up and go to work with a bad back and a thumping headache. Having suffered a prolapsed disc myself - I truly feel for you matey.
