Having a lovely time Tone. Spent a few hours walking round acres of land but it's been very busy here - horse riding, dog trials and a good few peeps around so not conducive for hunting/stalking unfortunately so, I need to pick my times a bit later in the year, it's been a very good reccy and I can see opportunities - rabbits for sure and wiley corvids to boot. I'm such a lazy 'hunter' me, I just love the outdoors and tomorrow is forecast to be glorious so a stake out and bit of an afternoon kip in the long grass beckons. The owner said I'm welcome to turn up Anytime I like in the future!!. Ooh, almost forgot.... I did bag a Squizzer today.

    Advice needed :o

Been offered a Webley Striker 10 with moderator and scope for 275.

Reviews seem good but is it a good one?

    Is the price right?

    Thanks,

    David

A little quiet on here, young David.

Maybe something to do with this stunning weather and long daylight hours.

Striker? I'm no PCP expert, but I don't recall this model. Is it the Raider 10?

Might be worth starting a new thread so it is more easily seen, too?

Hope you're keeping well and that you've been managing to get some boinger practice in.

I know very little about them, David.

My perception would be that they're a solid, reliable gun, but it's always nice to get some honest opinions from people that own / have owned them.

And blimey, was it hot in our Little Field of Joy yesterday?

Sweltering, it was, and the shade afforded by Mick's long, dark Love Tunnel () was most welcome, as was the arrival of the ice cream van shortly after I had landed.....and cheers, Uncle Mick.

The Hollow looked enchantingly beautiful, as ever, and it was great to sneak this extra visit in.

75 little sleepies to go, peeps.

And Uncle Mick said it wouldn't be long until the new thread's up and running!

Really struggling with the heat Tone, London is stifling and as much as I love my employer, The Underground ain't the place to be albeit when in my office it's air conditioned. Other than that I'm fine mate. Glad you managed a trip to The Hollow even if it was only for a chat and a bit of shade I've got a hospital blood test on Wednesday morning (general check as I haven't had one for donkey's) and I'm thinking it's hardly worth going in to work after so a plinky at the range looks promising

Yep, I used to love really hot weather, Pauly; not such a big fan these days.....I reckon 20 degrees is nice....maybe a sign of getting towards "Oldgitdom", although the ankle biters think I'll have passed that milestone yonks ago!

And I bet you'll be loving your employer much more in a few more months' time, matey, when they're paying you for not turning up any longer and being able to shoot even more!

Mmm....that'd be a dream job....being paid for plinking!

A Wednesday plink sounds perfect, little fella. I think if we play our cards right we could have a co-ordinated plinky plonk at the same time.

Monza has also now finished her GCSEs. She did ask a few weeks ago if she could shoot on a more regular basis once she'd got them out of the way, so more excuse for plinkies!

Ahh, it's great to get the younger generation involved mate and as I've mentioned before, another advocate and shooter in the house should only help
