    HW80K Muzzle Weight

I was wondering if such a thing existed?

I've got an 80K with the grooves at the end of the barrel where the foresight would normally sit. Really picky, but it kind of looks unfinished without the foresight on.

I'm thinking a muzzle weight (or moderator, but I don't really see the point) would finish it off.

    Pretty trivial, I know.

    Thanks,

    Rob.

I had a old style HW95k muzzle weight on mine for a while.

Some kind person gave me one off here but they are cheap to buy.

You might have to file the groves down a little.

Member Johnny Neate on here makes a superb weight at a good price. They really steadied the muzzle on a friend's "flippy" HW95.
I am not sure if he still makes them-send him a pm

Jonny made me one for my 99s and very nice it was too, it completely sorted out any hold sensitivity for me.
    Well recommended..

could you use a moderator that slips on with the sight still on .open the moderator up and fill the void with the weight you require? its pricey but could serve as both a weight plus moderator

Sorry if I'm putting you on the spot here Neil, who would you recommend to do the work you used to offer ?

To answer the Op's question, a Webley pro system type silencer ( lots of copy's on the market ) makes a very good muzzle weight and go's a little way to taming the muzzle blast as well.

I haven't heard a thing about the Guy who bought all my stuff mate, so the only one I would trust would be Nick (TinBum) Stanning.

I have several muzzle weights made by Jonny Neate on here and thoroughly recommend them.
The silencer sold by Weihrauch to go over the grooves of the HW barrel works OK but is an absolute eyesore as well as making the rifle even longer. I must admit that as I never intend to use open sights on any rifle I own I'm perfectly happy to file down the fore sight grooves and use one of Jonny's fine products. If you wish to retain the grooves then I am unaware of any silencer that will work other than the special one made by HW which effectively wraps around the fore sight and enables you to have a silenced rifle with open sights. Believe me when I say the result is pig ugly.

I saw that and I would have to agree on the aesthetics!
