    Power balls

    Hi all
Just read the review of the RWS Power Ball pellets in Airgun Shooter. They seemed to impress the reviewer.
    Has anyone tried them?
I couldn't help wondering if they ricochet badly if you plate a target. I think the steel ball would come back from a steel target with a fair bit of energy still

Question, why do these exist? Only possible answer, to break glass bottles. Other than that they can do nothing better than a lead pellet can. Not necessarily worse (except the ricochet risk) but no better on game no better on targets. So why?

Been done before in the 1980s, with the 'Champion Ballistic'; advertised as 'The pellet with a heart of steel'. Awful things.

Too true , I've still got most of a tin of them at the back of the pellet drawer, didn't have to use many to realise how crap they were
