Credit where it's due and it's due here. Yesterday, I made an online order for a Rockmount bipod and QD studs. The order form was simple to complete but I made an error on the drop-down field for "your country." As a result of this error, two things happened:
(i) VAT wasn't applied
(ii) International shipping rates were applied
An email from OW explained this to me. To correct things, VAT was added and mail costs reduced to UK rates. This left me owing £3.95. However, a further email from OW confirmed that, as it was a genuine error, they'd waive the £3.95 and ship the goods. This they did and this morning I received an excellent quality bipod and studs.
So a big thank you to opticswarehouse and a recommendation of them as a good supplier.

what type of mounts are they that you get free with some scopes (eg Hawke MAP) from optics warehouse
The mounts are single screw Hawk mounts. Although I got double screw as the scope I ordered has a 30mm tube.
