Thank you all for the advice, bought it in .177.
Accuracy is brilliant and so easy to shoot.
Well done that man.
Now, just make sure that your youngster is safe and get him practising.
That little '30 will have already cast its charming spell on you, so you will need to get another one!

NEXT EVENT :- May 4/5, 2024.........BOING!!
Where did you buy it from?
I'm thinking of getting another 30 but in .177 K package?
My HW30 also clocks abt 7.2ftlbs with very little recoil. I would go for .177 and the 30s version which has the record trigger. If you buy the open sighted version, you can plonk a cheap scope on top which the K has and you then have the best of both worlds. as previously said, .177 pellets are cheaper and are just as capable of dispatching a rat at 30yds.
The 30 is a good and very acurate rifle, I love shooting my version with peep sight on.

One of my favourite rifles, .177 flavour, Williams peep sight, superb little thing, just gets better the more pellets I put thru it. My 10m scores with it are embarrassingly close to some of my (much) more expensive rifles. Enjoy!
John.
ok, I admit it, I've got a problem.

Our club, Rivington Riflmen, have the occasional 'HW30 Days' which are well attended. The Williams sports peep sight is very popular and a few club members have replaced the Perfect trigger unit fitted to the basic rifle with the Rekord.

These HW 30's are great, I am so impressed with the quality, accuracy and the shooting experience of using it. Brought it home, target set at 25 m, no need to zero it really, amazing grouping just right of centre, a few clicks to the left and spot on.
Every airgunner should have 1, perfect for the garden, close range vermin if that's your thing, surprisingly good at 10m match.
John.(just testing new sig. really!)
ok, I admit it, I've got a problem.

I use CCL GUNSTOCK CONDITIONING OIL on my shotguns, can this be used on the new HW 30 stock or any suggestions on another product would be appreciated.
Been using Field Target Trophy pellets with great results. Any way bought Air Arms Diablo 4.52, cleaned the barrel, leaded in with 20 or so, find the AA Grouping better than the FTT at 20 yards, any one tried the JSB Exact in the 30 K or any others with good results, thanks
