I've been shooting 20 cal on 80s for several years now as primary sub 12ftlb spring hunters.

Steve commented in his younger springer hunting days, quality of pellet manufacture was such that 20 cal was inferior -
Definitely not so any more, FTT every time, though Spitzkugel a bit lighter also work great out to 30 yards.
Either kit or Glide internals. The new factory short screwcut barrels I have in 20 also are just as good as 16/19,s, (though I did have a bad one in 22 factory scewcut)
I imagine in the 25mm would shoot very well as a tad less spring than required for 177, but not much _
My favourite 80 / 20 is an early MK11 bought off here, it got reblued and I'm sure weighs less as a result from removed metal ! Standard piston with light polish, thinner v mach hw80 kit set up with the hybrid rear guide, a fair bit of pre load no front washer. 12 inch screwcut barrel with an EB Sirroco mod, and Nikon EFR 3-9 two piece mounts. It's short, handy, mild mannered enough and hovers dead on 11.6 now seal well shot in, depending on time of year, and has a PBR that works well for me, with just a tad of hold over at the furthest hunting distances. It's the rifle I reach for first, even in preference to my Glided one which with a full size K barrel and blended slim tech is an altogether bigger beast -
Looking for TO-6 Trigger unit unmessed with or T0-6 kit for 34

    I have a pair of .20s

The 97 has a S1 SFS tune. Shot it on Sunday and its as sublime as a springer can be.
80k has a S2 SFS tune. Best grouping I've got is half inch at 30m

    Both use FTT.

I did try JSB but they made the 97 jump a little more. Possibly due to heavier weight/tighter fit. Accurate though.
