    Sash cramp spring compressor

    For those who haven't tried it, a sash cramp with some kind of "keep the rifle in place" arrangement is a great spring compressor. Here's mine:

    I like that - a very neat and minimal way to do it.

    Hi,
    Your setup is somewhat along the lines of mine which I use for my Webley Patriot; however, I find that large nylon adjustable cable ties (7.6mm wide) enable you to tighten better than rope. When finished cut them and throw away.

    I dont think i would trust that clamped on the scope rail.

    Re sash clamp, I use a T bar type which can lock into a Workmate or similar vice.

    I made some blocks for either end of the rifle, I just need to do some side blocks now.
    Shooting Air Rifles is like being a pubic hair on a toilet seat.
    Eventually someone comes a long and P's you off.
    They usually have a PCP
