    Picky Walther LP2

Over the years doing repairs I have found that you do not always have to use exact size O rings to do a reseal. Not so with the LP2. Just got in a really cheap one in poor condition. One particular O ring under the exhaust valve had rotted away, so I fitted one that went in well and the valve seated on it OK. The chord diameter on this one was 2mm. Chamber would not accept air from the pump. Tried 2.62 mm diameter, pistol did just below 200 fps. Tried 2.39 mm diameter, pistol did the usual 340 fps. Thanks to Lawrie for telling me about the hidden O ring under the valve cap, very hard to see if you do not know about it. These pistols are not noted for their power, but very well built and accurate.

    Persistence pays off!

These pistols are fine once you convince yourself you won't trap your fingers on cocking if you keep them inside the lever.
