Thumbs up T R Robb in Southend

    Hi.
I used to deal here a few years ago. About 10 to be more exact.
I always got treated politely and fairly.
I moved to Bristol when I retired and stupidly sold the Sharp Innova that I purchased from T R Robb.

    Here we go again!

It may be that before my time, four or more years ago, that T Robb upset the applecart of someone influential on this BBS by talking straight.

He does that, but he is a good engineer, and if you can tell him what you want, he will make it well.

IME, Terry doesn't go in for esoteric things - you need to know what you are talking about. Say what you want to do, allow for his slightly forceful point of view, and take it on board, because he has a lot of experience.

Discuss it with him and then tell him what you want, and why, and he will do exactly what you want.

Someone put in a poisoned seed, a long time ago, and it still seems to hold sway for some reason. I think it's rather unfair.

I first met him a couple of weeks ago, I went in to look at the qb78's as I was thinking of getting one and even though he knew I was getting it second hand he gave me all the time in the world and couldn't of been more helpfull. I'd not touched an airgun for years but he still treated me with respect and was happy to answere various (and sometimes newb) questions.
    Cheers
    Dan

I dealt with him 2 or 3 times by mail order a few years ago, each time I was dissappionted by overpriced shoddy goods so stopped dealing with him.
Personally I wouldn't recommend him, but obviously others have had better service.

i think it is unfair the bad press terry rob gets on the airgun forums he's a good guy who knows a lot about airguns and he's a top engineer seen quite a few parts he's made for airguns etc and they are very good' i'am not saying he's never made a poor component or given a bad service weve all done it from time to time it happens anyone who has not is a liar' their are far bigger companys out their who have made cr@p airguns & components than terry rob so lets give the guy some respect .

I've used his mail order service with no probs, phoned him first for some advice and was really ok...thinking about buying one of his tuning kits...and I know other people who use him all the time they recommended him to me...I have no complaints with his service.

    Mr Robb

Personally I think that he does indeed charge very high prices - but then he's in a niche market and everyone needs to live.....There are other "add on" od service providers on the BBS that charge rather high amounts but again you
    have to make a living!!!

If Mr Robb sells poor components then thats a different story!!

I just bought his Rapid tuning video and was horrified when he claimed using his gear you can get a massive 50 shots at 20Ft/lbs Just as well I paid 2.99 offa fleabay
Doe's dat dies are da lucky ones!!!!

Surely, your statement was incorrect; " ... pehaps he has shut down for a week and done everybody a favour."
