Yeah I also spotted it few days ago but to be honest I'm not sure I like that stock

Usually I quite like tactical style stocks but what's the crack with the long side panel bit it looks a bit strange like a big piece of fuzzy felt stuck on the side

I know what you're saying there, Nick, but I'd have to guess that the inserts are some sort of grippy rubber compound? And I bet it'll look loads better in the flesh.

I know the term "tactical" is oft overused these days, but my interpretation of "tactical" has connotations of military styled stocks, whereas I'd say this is a "synthetic sporter".

I hope this proves popular and, who knows, we might then see one on the 99? Maybe even a synthetic thumbhole version? Double yummy!

Not for me I am afraid, I don't mind synth stocks but that one looks more jazzy Gamo than classy HW!

I still hanker after a beech stocked version. I might have considered this one if the pistol grip had been made more upright and closer to the trigger like the synth stock on the HW97. Still I bet they sell a bucket load across the world.

It looks to have a better angle on the pistol grip than the beech one.

Which can't be a bad thing.

I quite like synthetic stocks (easy to maintain), and there isn't really anything "tactical" about this one.

Hope so Tone because from the pics can't say it really floats my boat

My first thought is that stock wouldn't look out of place on something more inclined from the Far East.

On another note I always think tactical and synthetic style stocks are much the same thing nowadays certainly feels like it's been blurred especialy if in Black.

Just wondering if that skimpy little cheek piece may just lap over the top of the butt and extend down onto the right side perhaps ???

I think, looking at the pics on the Weihrauch site, the stock is "a true synthetic" being a moulded from a synthetic material as on the 97 Synth and not as on the 110 which "rubberised coated" ?
Its not clear if the butt is ambidextrous which I'd favour being left handed but the pistol grip appears to be more upright than the bulk of Weihrauch beech stocks which again I'd prefer !
All this may not matter one jot, if the rifle isn't going to be imported into the UK !

HW30S + synthetic, can we call it the HW30 SS?
    It's almost unavoidable...

I quite like it, the trigger blade is the correct colour, but the seam where the two halves are joined would irritate the hell out me.

What we need is a nice bit of walnut and the rear half of the HW66JM stock, Mmmmmm tasty.

Or CustomStock to make a CS500 for the '30. Please please please CS?

The "HW SS" series would certainly have a nice ring to it, Nick.

And, yes, I do love the styling of the 66s.

I've asked about availability and RRP from one of my local gunshops about this synthetic HW30S

    Just received a reply below:

Hi I have just given Hull cartridge co a call and they advise that they hope that the Hw30s synthetic was launched in March at the IWA trade show and that it will be available to buy in around 2-3 months time, no indication of price at present.

Looks like we should be seeing them hit uk gunshops soon
