Sussex Interclub HFT Round 2 Ford 14 May

Contrary to our Northern simian chum's assertation , this thread is here to announce that Ford Ranges are delighted to host Round 2 of the 2017 SIHFT series on Sunday 14th May.

The competition is open to all safe shooters with sub 12ft/lb air rifles and from any of the five hosting clubs (Swallows, Ford, Horsham Hawks, Mile Oak and Buxted) as well as teams from our established visiting clubs (Iden Fern, Meon Valley and MAD).

Other individuals will also be welcomed; all we ask is for a brief heads up that you would like to join us by dropping the host club a PM or email.

Gates will open at 8.00am with booking in commencing at 9.00am. Please don't arrive any earlier as the car par gates will be shut and you will have to wait in the road.

Please park with you car pointing parallel to the road, points will be awarded for neatness.

Food will be provided by the range staff, it is at very reasonable prices so please feel free to pig out.

The shoot will start at 10.00am after a safety briefing scheduled for around 9.50am. You must be at the safety briefing if you intend to shoot in the competition.

Please remember: if you want to shoot with a specific person, don't leave booking-in to the last minute as you may be disappointed!

    Cost £7.00
    Juniors (under 17) £6.00

    Regards

    Beardy

Course is all set, there is now a honking great barn on the runway, so that should make for some interesting wind judgement - assuming we get some wind

We look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Sod it! Just realised I've been looking at weather reports for Ford USA and been worrying about getting sun burnt!

I decided today was the day to start mucking about with the figure of eight clamp, about 10 mins from the start with a resulting zero shift of several turns of the dial. It took about 29 shots into the course to convince myself the new zero was correct. Jolly well done me!

    PMSL That will teach you.

Actually it's my heel. I shouldn't have worn stilettos while building the course yesterday. I did wonder why the method statement you issued insisted I use them though
